When Christopher Trigg met Infologic IT – building a long-term business partnership

Christopher Trigg is a general insurance brokers that was founded in 1972. This family-run business serves a broad base of corporate clients, from SMEs (small-medium enterprises) right through to large multi-global organisations. The team provides insurance programmes for its clients, including property insurance, real estate portfolio insurance, construction insurance and large retail insurance.

The business was sold to US firm Brown & Brown in 2023, and is led by Managing Director Dominic Trigg. Based in Rickmansworth, Christopher Trigg’s team of 25 enjoy being based in a dynamic office environment, working together to provide standard and bespoke insurance programmes.  “Our team is young and still entirely office-based: at a time when many other businesses now have remote teams that work at home, we believe there are huge benefits in our team being co-located on-site together” comments Dominic.

“As an insurance provider, we depend entirely on our IT systems to keep our business running around the clock so that we can serve our clients. We use Acturis insurance software – the leading insurance software in the UK -together with Microsoft Office 365, and all our servers are now cloud-based. We are very heavily IT dependent”.

It was at a business networking event in 2008 – over a round of golf in fact – that Dominic met Neil Ewer, Infologic IT’s Managing Director.

Infologic IT are now Dominic Trigg’s longest-serving supplier, and have been on-hand to guide and advise the team through years of technology developments, from investments into big servers, from guidance on moving to a cloud-based environment, and even going over and above to hand-deliver four urgently-needed laptops upon the eve of the first UK COVID-19 lockdown, as the Christopher Trigg team made the move to home-based working.
