No ends to what the Infologic IT team goes to for our clients….including ladders
Just Loos is a long-time client, and we have supported their business over the course of nearly thirty years as their business has evolved.
Just Loos provide luxury toilet hire for events of all types – from weddings to birthdays to music festivals across a diverse range of locations. They believe mobile loos should offer all the comforts of your own home. Just Loos provide 24/7 emergency call-out for their clients once the trailer toilets are installed on site.
Earlier this year, Just Loos decided to introduce a new app to their business to help their team manage all their remote projects more easily, including monitoring remote operations where toilets are installed, and continuing to provide their 24/7 emergency call out.
However, 4G and 5G signal is very poor at the Just Loos head office, which meant that the new app wouldn’t work without intervention from the Infologic team, who were called upon by Just Loos’ Managing Director Richard to provide much stronger and more reliable WiFi signal and extended coverage across the site.
What did we do?
The new app would require increased and much more stable WiFi coverage in the yard and two workshops that form part of the Just Loos head office site, and this would also involve installing a booster on site that would be able to increase the WiFi coverage considerably, by up to 100m.
Our first action was to complete a WiFi survey to establish whether we could reach the necessary increased coverage distance, and if so, which equipment would be needed to deliver this.
A new Power over Ethernet switch was installed to provide power and which would connect the new Wireless Access Points needed to the existing IT network.
Once unpacked, we had to install the new Wireless Access Points at the right heights and angles to provide the correct full coverage across the large outside yard space.
Our testing involved climbing ladders to get up high enough to test the kit at higher points to ensure robust coverage. Our boss Neil, Infologic IT’s Managing Director, definitely took the lead here and headed up the ladder to conduct the testing. Well done Neil!
We fitted the outside kit boxes required, and then the inside ones, and then tested signal strength using our WiFi app to create a ‘WiFi heat map’, which demonstrates to clients that the implementation was successful.
“We have worked with Richard and the team at Just Loos for many years now, and are very proud to have played a role in their business journey – they have achieved so much.” – Neil, Infologic IT’s Managing Director.
