We wanted to give our website a fresh and modern update
Every business needs a website, and as we celebrate our business milestone this year of 30 years’ serving our customers, we wanted to give our website a fresh and modern update.
There are lots of good reasons why your business needs a website – here are our top five:
- websites are fairly easy to create and can be a very cost effective method of advertising your business, selling your product and communicating with your customers – all from one place!
- your website serves as a ‘shop window’ to your business, as it showcases your services and products
- a well-designed website will establish your brand and credibility – nowadays, we all expect businesses to have a website of sorts
- it is easy for potential customers to reach you via your website
- a good website will mean your likelihood of being found via search engines like Google will increase
Don’t let your website lie dormant
We’re really pleased with our new-look website! Websites can quickly become out of date – it is a good idea to regularly review your website, and check that it is doing what you need it to do.
In addition to your website’s look and feel, don’t forget that a well-designed and well-functioning website also needs to be maintained, so that includes checking that all the ‘back-end’ stuff is working as it should, including SSL certificates as one example.
Don’t forget that nowadays, your website needs to work well on a desktop PC but more importantly, on mobile devices. Most people will search for company information using a mobile device, and view your website from there – so if the images don’t load or the text doesn’t fit a mobile screen properly, your messages will be lost in translation.
Building your website properly from the off will ensure you reduce the risk of problems further down the line!
Consider a website relaunch as your business changes
Invest some time and effort into making sure your website is fit for purpose. Make sure your website accurately reflects your business: out of date information, old product photos and incorrect contact information will not serve your business well! We worked with a Design and Marketing agency to launch our new website, who advised us on the look and feel, and the best use of images and text. Consider recruiting expert help to get the results you want and the website your business needs and deserves.
