Hurtigruten Group commissioned Infologic to provide a programme of hypercare post cut over to new IT environments earlier this year.

Hurtigruten Group is one of the most renowned premium expedition travel brands globally, made up of Hurtigruten, offering the very best in Norwegian cruises and Hurtigruten Expeditions (HX). HX is the world’s leading expedition cruise company, guiding curious travellers on mindful adventures since 1896.

HX is headquartered in London with a global team of 1,000+ professionals across land and sea. HX operates a fleet of five modern vessels, providing voyages to 250+ destinations encompassing 30+ countries. Renowned for its pole-to-pole adventures – polar bears can be seen by those lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time!

As part of the Group’s separation, HX needed to safely migrate its global IT users to the new standalone TravelHX IT environment, including all HX data and applications.  Transition from the old to the new would require hands-on, dedicated support for both shoreside and shipboard users in accessing and adopting new systems to carry out their roles.

The Group IT team commissioned Infologic to provide a programme of hypercare after cut over to the new, standalone HX IT environment earlier this year.

Hypercare is a short period after go-live when extra resources and support is provided to help users adopt new systems and business processes. Hypercare ensures a business can operate smoothly, whilst addressing any initial teething issues or bugs that may arise.

Once users switched over to the new HX environment, Infologic hypercare began. Support for users ran 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, troubleshooting any problems and escalating any more complex issues as necessary. This support provided reassurance to the business during a period of significant technology change.

“Our hypercare programme has provided support to global users of HX’s new IT environment, from Australia to China, the US, Europe and beyond” commented Neil Ewer, Infologic’s Managing Director. “It has been our pleasure to partner with the Hurtigruten Group IT team to ensure a smooth and effective transition to their new IT environment. If your business is about to undergo an IT transition, consider implementing a hypercare programme as part of your overall go-live plans”.

“The Infologic team has been an outstanding partner throughout our significant technology transformation. At HX, our focus is on delivering exceptional global expedition travel, so it was crucial for us to have a partner who understood the importance of keeping our IT systems fully operational. This enabled us to stay focused on providing the best possible experience for our guests and teams as they explore the world. I highly recommend Infologic for any technology change program, given their professionalism and unwavering support.” – Oliver Pirozek, Programme Director Digital & IT, Hurtigruten Group.
