We say Bon Voyage (for now) to our colleagues from Hurtigruten
Over the past year, we have kept you up to date on one our most exciting projects yet: the hypercare programme we were commissioned to provide for Hurtigruten, following a major IT cutover project the company undertook in late 2024, when Hurtigruten switched to a new IT system.
Since the project began, our team has been fortunate to travel far and wide on the impressive Hurtigruten fleet, including the the MS Spitsbergen, the MS Fridtjof Nansen, the MS Fram, and the MS Roald Amundsen.
Spain, Argentina, Portugal, Alaska, Canada, Costa Rica, the Panama Canal, Costa Rica…….what did our team think of their travels?
“Whilst on board the MS Fridtjof Nansen, we certainly had a view like no other. We worked hard, and the experience was a truly memorable one – it isn’t every day that you get to enjoy such great views whilst working on a major IT project”.
“Seeing a bit of Alaska, Canada and Costa Rica was terrific – a very busy but very enjoyable work trip!”
“I loved experiencing the Panama Canal crossing – it was so impressive, as well as being near to the legendary Bermuda Triangle in the Carribbean. Then the North Atlantic sea crossing on the way home via Iceland was a superb end to the work trip”.
We were working hard – a reminder of what IT hypercare is
Hypercare is period of heighted customer support and attention immediately after a major IT event, typically the cutover from one system to another, or when hardware is replaced. During hypercare, teams are on 24/7 standby to address customer needs, fix issues and ensure a smoth transition. Infologic’s hypercare programme involved support for users 24 hours a day, troubleshooting any problems and escalating any more complex issues as necessary. This support provided reassurance to the Hurtigruten business during a period of significant technology change.
“It has been our total pleasure to support Hurtigruten during this hypercare project which has now successfully completed. Seeing and experieincing their impressive fleet was the icing on the cake for our team during some very long working days away from home. As a reminder, if your business is about to undergo a major IT transition, consider Infologic IT as your hypercare partners – whether at sea or on land!” – Neil, Infologic IT’s Managing Director.
